MPI AZ EDUCATION PROGRAMS

CMP

MPI AZ is a CMP Preferred Provider. The program(s) identified with the CMP Preferred Provider logo meet the requirements to receive continuing education (CE) credit for the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) credential. All qualifying activities also indicate how many CE credits attendees will receive for participating.

MPI AZ members who are registered with the CIC and have their CMP or CMM accreditation will automatically have their CE clock hours added to their renewal transcript. The member must use the same email address on file with the CIC when registering for any MPI AZ programs. MPI AZ is proud to offer this automated service to our members.

For more information about the CMP credential or CMP Preferred Provider Program, please visit www.conventionindustry.org.

Note: This program is not endorsed, accredited, or affiliated with the Convention Industry Council or the CMP Program. Applicants may receive CE credit for attending any program that meets eligibility requirements of the CMP Program. There are no specific individual courses required as part of the application -selection of eligible education is up to the applicant based on his/her needs.

CMP U 2017

CMP University (CMP U) is the dynamic way to prepare for the CMP Examination. CMP U covers all domains and topics contained in the CMP International Standards within a university extension format. With the generosity of our venue sponsor, Country Inn & Suites by Carlson, CMP U will be held on select Saturday mornings preceding the CMP examination periods offered in August 2017 and November 2017. This series of regular infusions of knowledge will better prepare you throughout the months leading up to the exam and help you stay on track with your studying.

Also being sensitive to today's economic challenges, the tuition for the entire semester starts at only $150 for MPI members, $250 for non members.

Even if you do not plan to take the CMP Examination yet, CMP U is a sound investment and the perfect way to boost your professional power. The curriculum provides the knowledge and skills for continuing education in our industry (and can earn you necessary hours towards taking the CMP exam at a future date.)

If you would like more information about the CMP Certification, exam dates and deadlines, please visit http://www.conventionindustry.org/CMP/CMPApplicants.aspx.

Professional Development On Demand

On Demand is a service of MPI and a benefit of your membership to obtain continuing education credits through webinars at a time when it is convenient for you! These webinars are free as a part of your membership and upon completing the webinar you can record your participation to track CEU's for your CMP qualification or re-certification. There are hundreds of topics you can select from. Visit www.mpiweb.org/Portal/OnDemand.

PLEASE NOTE: Per the Convention Industry Council (CIC) MPI no longer provides documentation for CMP Clock Hours. If you wish to track your CMP clock hours, whether you are a current CMP or planning to apply, you will need to do so on your own following the guidelines listed here. See the heading under "Documenting Your Continuing Education Activities." You can use the information our chapter provides for each program as listed below or on the registration site for each monthly program.
