Event Marketing and Events Manager - AZ Big Media is seeking a Marketing and Events Manager. This position is responsible for the planning and execution of all AZ Big Media events. Additionally they play a key role in the marketing of all AZ Big Media publications and the satisfaction and generation of key sponsors and advertisers. Event Responsibilities: Include and are not limited to: Coordinate all pre-on-site, and post event activities and show flow. Address concerns and resolve problems at events to ensure the overall success. Remain current on industry trends and propose creative ideas and themes, research and recommend event venues by providing costs estimates, resource analysis, potential ROI. Track project costs; reconcile budgets, and provide detailed budget analysis and event overviews to management. Develop and maintain a project calendar which consists of sales meetings, shows, corporate special events, magazine specific offsite events (sponsored events), etc. See "View Details" for more details. Qualifications: 2+ years event planning/management experience. 4-year degree or equivalent experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills including writing persuasive copy that propels the reader to take action, and using proper grammar, business English and correct punctuation. Effective organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task on a variety of assignments often requiring independent judgment. Familiarity with principles of marketing through email and social media. Knowledge of Adobe suite products, excel, PowerPoint and keynote presentation systems Ability and willingness to work occasional nighttime events and weekend events.
